- Wireless charging stations: they allow wireless charging thanks to induction charging technology. The electric car must be equipped with a compatible technology to be able to use this type of charging station;

- Solar charging stations: they use solar energy to charge EVs. They are generally equipped with solar panels and can be used at home or in public places.

How to determine the compatibility of a charging station with an electric car?

The compatibility of a charging station with an electric car can be determined by checking the technical specifications of both and considering the following points:

- The type of plug

Electric cars use different types of plugs to connect to charging stations. It is important to check if the model offers an input compatible with your vehicle. The most common are: Type 1, Type 2, CHAdeMO and CCS.

- The power of the charging station

The power of the charging station must be compatible with the maximum power your electric car can accept. Most EVs can accept a maximum power of 7.4 kW, but some newer models can accept power up to 350 kW.

- The availability of the charging station

It is also important to check if the charging station is available in your area or on your travel itinerary, as not all models are available everywhere.
